With thirty years of clinical practice Jenny has extensive experience in adult language, speech, voice, swallowing and feeding difficulties. She has worked widely in acute care, aged care, rehabilitation and outpatient clinics.
Originally trained in the UK she gained her M.A. in Communication Disorders at Macquarie University in 2003. Jenny is experienced in education of Speech Pathology students and has worked in teaching and clinical research at Sydney and Macquarie Universities. Currently Jenny provides sessional academic teaching and clinical supervision to Speech Pathology students at Australian Catholic University.
Jenny is a certified practising member of Speech Pathology Australia. She participates in a number of registered mentoring partnerships through Speech Pathology Australia with more recently qualified Speech Pathologists. Jenny is a member of the Northern Beaches Private Speech Pathologists Practitioners Network and also the Northern Sydney Health Network.
Jenny is a registered provider for the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Jenny is currently engaged as an ‘expert contributor’ for the Aged Care Channel (ACC) and will be filming later in 2016 for their upcoming production ‘Dysphagia Awareness and Support of Swallowing Difficulties”.
Jenny is also an accredited Witness Intermediary working with the NSW Department of Justice as one of 52 intermediaries employed in a 3 year trial program to work with child witnesses in sexual assault matters and facilitate communication between parties when giving evidence in court.
